Category Definitions in Navigate
Category types are pulled over from the student information system (PeopleSoft/MyWCU). You can see the category types on the student profile page and in a student list. Categories are used to filter data for reports. Below is a list of categories and a brief description of each category.

| Academic PassPort Completed | Students that have completed a ugrd degree or an AA degree |
| Academic Passport: In Progress | Students that have completed a ugrd degree or an AA degree, but WCU have not received the official transcript from the previous school. |
| Academic Support Program | Students in the Academic Support Program during their first year |
| Honors | The student is in the Honors Program |
| Athlete | The student that is an active athlete |
| Graduate Assistant | The student is a Graduate Assistant |
| Commuter | The student does not live in on-campus housing |
| PHL Student | The student primarily is taking classes at the Philadelphia location |
| On-Campus Housing | The student is in a university managed residence hall |
| Affiliated Housing | The student is in a USH managed residence hall |
| Active-Duty Military | Active-Duty Military (Student indicated) |
| Active NG/Reserve | Active NG/Reserve (Student indicated) |
| Dependent | Dependent (Student indicated) |
| Veteran | Veteran (Student indicated) |
| Academic Warning | The student has the current academic standing status of Academic Warning |
| Probation | The student has the current academic standing status of Probation |
| Continued Probation | The student has the current academic standing status of Continued Probation |
| Extended Probation | The student has the current academic standing status of Extended Probation |
| Dismissal | The student has been dismissed |
| First Generation | The student is a first-generation student. (Student indicated) |
| Graduate | The student is currently in a Graduate or Doctorate program |
| Undergraduate | The student is currently in an Undergraduate program |
| Admit Type (will show the admit type value) |

| Individual Team sports | Students that are active in a sport, show the sport name |
