Educational Discounts & System Requirements
Students who wish to purchase hardware can now access vendor sites which recommend laptop models and provide a direct link for students to make their purchases with a student discount. Visit these Dell, Lenovo, or Apple sites, or our Laptop Purchase Guidance page to learn more. To aid in making a well-informed selection for your device, we have standardized minimal device requirements.
WCU provides public computer lab access in several areas on campus including the FHG
Library, Sykes Student Union, and Anderson Hall. Many departments also have specific
labs in academic buildings with specialized equipment or software specific for course

West Chester University has the following resources available for Students who require access to a computer or loaner laptop:
College of Education and Social Work:
The CESW Tech Center loans equipment for use by students throughout the College of Education and Social Work. If you are a CESW student, Contact the CESW Tech Center if you would like to make a reservation.
IS&T Loaner Program (Long-Term Loan Program up to 2 semesters):
IS&T Loaner Program is part of the Moonshot for Equity initiative at the university with the goal of providing equitable access to technology resources for students demonstrating need for the equipment. There are a limited number of laptops and requests will be reviewed working with the Financial Aid office. If you would like to request a loaner device, please complete login to ServiceNow and complete an formal requests.
