Early Alert Program

Academic Success Program provide workshops to assist students with a variety of academic and personal issues including college adjustment, personal issues, stress management, study skills, time management, and test-taking tips. 

Career Development Center

Career Development Center offers services, programs, and resources such as the Ram Career Network that help you explore future career options as well as prepare for and secure internships and full-time employment. Students may schedule appointments for one-on-one personalized help as well as work on resume writing and interview preparation.

Center for International Studies

Center for International Studies can provide information on study abroad (both short and long term), courses with international components, and service opportunities.

Women's Center

Center for Women & Gender Equitypromotes a campus culture and climate that supports principles of social justice, equity, inclusion, and community. We advocate for a campus community that values the safety, equality, and intellectual advancement of women and historically marginalized groups at West Chester University. The CWGE serves people of all genders.

Counseling Center

Counseling & Psychological Center offers many services, such as individual consultations about personal problems, group meetings, and help with substance abuse. Students can call to make appointments, and faculty/staff can call to ask for support with helping students.

Learning Assistance Resource Center

Learning Assistance Resource Center (LARC) provides tutoring in languages, math, and other topics, as well as helping students with study skills and time management. Both advisees and advisors can benefit from the information on their

Multicultural Affairs

Multicultural Affairs (Dowdy Multicultural Center) works to develop an inclusive and welcoming campus community. The department invests in diversity through offering a variety of events, clubs, and forums to prospective and current students.

Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services

Office of Off Campus and Commuter Services helps students locate off-campus housing and roommates, provides information on ridesharing, public transportation, and parking, and helps create a positive relationship with the West Chester Borough community.

Office of Educational Accessibility

Office of Educational Accessibility (OEA) offers a range of services for students with physical or learning disabilities, from testing to accommodation.

Student Conduct Resources

Office of Student Conduct enforces WCU’s Student Code of Conduct. Guarantees due process and protects the individual freedom of the students, as well as requiring his or her responsibility and accountability for misconduct.

Registrar Information

Office of the Registrar handles student records relating to grades, transcripts and graduation.

Resource Pantry

Resource Pantry provides direct services to student who are facing financial hardship with the goal of eliminating barriers to degree completion.  The pantry provides non-perishable food items, school supplies, business attire, and winter clothing to any student in need. 

Scholarship Information

Scholarship Information is available through the Financial Aid Office.  In addition, some scholarships are available through the individual academic colleges.  Please contact those offices directly for more information (College of Arts & Humanities, College of Business & Public Management, College of Education & Social Work, College of Health Sciences, College of Science & Mathematics, School of Music).

Sexual Misconduct Resources

Sexual Misconduct Resources are available to students who believe they may have been victimized sexually or have been accused of sexual misconduct. Advisors can consult these to inform their advisees of reporting requirements and campus processes for redress. Students should know that all faculty must report to the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion any incidents of sexual misconduct (unless they were noted during a classroom discussion, in a writing assignment for a class, or as part of a University-approved research project). Please see either of these web pages to learn the offices where students can discuss this type of problem confidentially.

Student Assistance

Student Assistance provides assistance and support for students who are away from the campus for a minimum of three class days due to illness, personal or family emergencies. A note will be circulated to the student's professors advising the professor of the absence. The student is also encouraged to contact his/her professors to make arrangements on any missed work.

Student Athlete Support

Student Athlete Support Services offers programs and services for student athletes, such as mentoring, tutoring, awards, and leadership opportunities. Both students and advisors can find useful information and contacts here to help student athletes flourish at WCU.

Student Health Center

Student Health Center & Services treats minor illness such as musculoskeletal injuries, urinary tract infections, asthma, respiratory infections, and gastro-intestinal illnesses. The staff also handles routine minor surgical conditions and provides allergy shots and immunizations. Gynecological services include pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing and contraceptive counseling. Wellness seeks to meet the diverse wellness needs of our student population through programming and education, direct support services for alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, nutrition, and general wellness, as well as advocacy for survivors of sexual misconduct.

Student Leadership & Involvement

Student Leadership & Involvement houses over 300 student organizations at WCU! Opportunities for growth, networking, teamwork, and leadership skills promoted throughout a variety of interest areas.

University College

University College promotes academic excellence and contributes to the success of all students at West Chester University.

Veteran's Center

Veterans’ Center (Greg and Sandra Weisenstein) helps vets with their GI benefits, offers a veterans’ support group, and has a veterans’ lounge. The director will also help faculty advise their veteran students.
