Information for Graduate Non-Degree

Candidates will be permitted to take classes at West Chester University as a non-degree student if they meet the minimum enrollment requirements based upon their highest level of education. Students must also possess the prerequisite coursework and/or demonstrate, prior to enrollment, minimum performance competencies required for a particular course. There may be certain circumstances when a former, denied, or recently accepted degree-seeking student may not be permitted to register in the non-degree program.

Admission Requirements

In addition to the Non-Degree Terms and Conditions, non-degree candidates seeking to enroll in graduate courses must meet the following requirements:

  1. Minimum GPA of 2.0 from the accredited institution that issued degree
  2. Proof of undergraduate degree with confer date specified
  3. Must possess necessary prerequisite coursework and/or demonstrate, prior to enrollment, minimum performance competencies required for the course

Required Supporting Documentation

Along with the Non-Degree Application, the student must submit the following:

  • Unofficial or official transcript from the university where you earned your Bachelor's and/or Master's degree
  • Proof that you’ve met the minimum performance requirements for the course(s) you’re interested in

2 Fill Out the Non-Degree Application

Review instructions and complete the application form when it's available.

3 Set Up Your RamNet ID Network Account

Once you receive your RamNet ID number, create your account. Your account is your access to student portals such as RamPortal, D2L, Webmail and more! Follow these steps to Set-up Your New Student Account.

4 Register and Enroll

Login to RamPortal to view your registration time. Search for the courses you would like to register for. View instructions on how to register . If any of your courses have prerequisites, or you have trouble registering contact ugradnondegree@wcupa.edu.

5 Access your WCU Email

Use your WCU email for all university updates and communication with staff and faculty!

6 Check the Academic Calendar

Look at the calendar and stay updated on important dates like start/end of semesters, add/drop deadlines, and refund periods.
