The Research on Equity via the Arts in Childhood (REACH) Lab

The Research on Equity via the Arts in Childhood (REACH) Lab convening at Settlement Music School brought together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from across the country as well as approximately 50 WCU students who presented their scholarly work. WCU's REACH Lab, supported by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), is directed by Dr. Ellie Brown (Psychology) along with her colleagues at CUNY and WolfBrown, and focuses on how music and creative arts might support the wellbeing of children facing stress and trauma related to poverty and racism. More information about REACH can be found here.
