"This is my 24th year"
- How did you land at WCU?
"I was working at the American School Health Association and attending the annual
conference and found out the there was a School Health position open."
- What's the best part of your job?
"Working with our students! We have some amazing students and faculty! I enjoy assisting
students in obtaining resources/services on our campus that can help to remove any
barrier (s) to learning that they are dealing with at that moment."
- What do you wish you could share with all incoming first-year students?
"I wish I could share with all first-year students that the next few years will go
by so fast! You will meet lifelong friends and awesome faculty and staff! Study hard,
manage your time wisely, get involved and take advantage of opportunities. Most of
all, make some time to HAVE FUN!!!"
- What do you wish you could share with all graduating seniors?
"I would tell our seniors to "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff! Spend some time to reZect
on their entire experience at WCU, share your experience with others, but more importantly
understand that they leave here with tools and skills to become a voice for the voiceless
to make this world a better place!"
- What makes you most proud of WCU?
"I am blessed and proud to have the opportunity to go to a job everyday that I love!
Each day brings a new, rich experience and I have learned so much from my students
and my colleagues. I have witnessed the amazing growth at WCU while at the same time
having the ability to sustain our commitment to student success."
