  • What is your occupation/role in the CHS?
"Adjunct Professor: Nutrition & Kinesiology, Nutrition Lab Manager"
  • How long have you been at WCU?
"This is my second year teaching."
  • How did you land at WCU?
"I returned to college as a non-traditional undergraduate Nutrition major at WCU in 2012 and continued right into the MPH: Nutrition program. I worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Nutrition Lab and was asked to support the Nutrition Lab and teach after completing the Master's in Public Health."
  • What's the best part of your job?
"There are a million "best parts". I am always happy to talk with students and see my co-workers. I am especially grateful to share my love of nutrition, yoga, and cooking with students. I just feel so lucky every day that I return to campus."
  • What do you wish you could share with all incoming first-year students?
"Keep an open mind and learn something new from every class and experience. Try a yoga class (as a PEA class or at The Center for Contemplative Studies) to stay relaxed and care for your self during this busy time. Connect with classmates and the community as often as you can."
  • What do you wish you could share with all graduating seniors?
"Life offers constant opportunities to learn and grow. When you "have to" do things that you don't like, watch for the lession instead of complaining and resisting. Take any opportunity to do what makes you truly happy as your joy will serve others and make the world a better place."
  • What makes you most proud of WCU?
"The students, faculty, and staff that contribute to the always evolving nature of you future."
