Becoming a Male Ally at Work This LinkedIn Learning course is led by Emilie Aries: "Gender diversity in the workplace drives innovation and performance. As a male ally, you can help boost diversity by chipping away at the systems that perpetuate everyday unconscious bias. In this course, Emilie Aries shares simple actions you can take right away to further gender equality in your workplace. Get tips for amplifying women's voices at work, including how to use your power to pass the mic to those whose voices often go unheard. Cross-Cultural Communications & Conflict Resolution

Through a highly interactive activity, this workshop will allow participants to personally examine how communication and culture are interrelated, explore intercultural communications and learn strategies to address cross-cultural conflict. (Note: this workshop requires a minimum of 20 participants and maximum of 40 participants)

Cultivating Cultural Competence and Inclusion

This LinkedIn Learning course is led by Mary Francis Winters: "Inclusive work environments can yield greater creative output, boost employee morale, and benefit a company’s bottom line. But even as a slew of modern companies make strides towards true workplace inclusivity, many still miss the mark. Developing Cross-Cultural Intelligence

This LinkedIn Learning course is led by Tatiana Kolovou: "Being able to work across cultures is an increasingly necessary skill for all employees. Communications expert Tatiana Kolovou helps you develop the cross-cultural intelligence to navigate cultural differences. She outlines the six primary areas of cultural difference, highlighting the differences between high- and low-context cultures. Once you can recognize the differences, she helps you use visual and nonvisual cues in the environment to inform your actions and respond effectively. Inclusive Leadership 1.0: Understanding the Identity Compass This workshop is designed to build community and introduce campus community members to the various identities represented at WCU. Identities depict the way we see ourselves in relation to those around us. They are comprised of many traits and social roles, chosen and unchosen, visible and invisible. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to consider the impact of multiple aspects of their own identities and share their stories with others engaged in the same process of discovery. Inclusive Leadership 2.0: Valuing Diversity & Inclusion at WCU This workshop is designed to help individuals gain insight and learn the foundational concepts of diversity and how to foster an environment that makes students and/or employees feel valued and included. Participants will engage in self-reflection, define and discuss terms such as diversity, inclusion and others. Through exercises, videos, and dialogue participants examine the ways that personal dimensions of diversity impact the workplace, classrooms and organizations. Core
Inclusive Leadership 3.0: Recognizing & Responding to Microaggression What are microaggressions? How can they harm individual members of the campus community? Participants in this workshop will gain a better understanding of this form of bias and the building blocks that contribute to microaggressions. The workshop facilitator uses interactive activities and discussions to help participants recognize microaggressions and learn strategies for addressing the messages sent that can create a feeling of marginalization among community members. Leading Inclusive Teams This LinkedIn Learning course is led by Daisy Lovelace: "High-performing teams are comprised of employees who feel empowered, valued, and accepted. Managing a Multigenerational Workforce

This LinkedIn Learning course is led by Roberta Matuson: "The workforce is more diverse than ever, especially when it comes to age. Teaching Techniques: Making Accessible Learning

Unconscious Bias Training Everyone has biases. If left unchecked, biases can harm others in the workplace, even if unintentional. This interactive workshop will allow participants to explore how our biases may play out and impact our interactions. Universal Design in Learning (UDL): The Plenary Course The goal of UDL is to use a variety of teaching methods to remove any barriers to learning and give all students equal opportunities to succeed. It’s about building in flexibility that can be adjusted for every student’s strengths and needs. This workshop will give an overview of UDL principles, examples of UDL practices, and a discussion of application to current courses. Elective
Veterans Cultural Awareness Training A historic number of military personnel and veterans are enrolling in colleges/universities pursuing higher credentials as they serve within and outside of their military service. Transitioning from the Military to campus life can be challenging for a variety of reasons. Awarded the honor of being a “military-friendly” campus since 2015, West Chester University strives to support the needs and success of our military veteran students and their family members. Veterans Culture Awareness Training (VCAT) is a forum that allows advisors, faculty and staff the opportunity to increase their skills and awareness as it relates to serving military service members, veterans and their families. This forum includes opportunities to hear directly from student veterans about their experience as a Military Service Member and as a student at WCU. Strategies for ensuring inclusive practices and ways to support the success of student veterans are provided through short video clips, case studies, personal stories and group discussions. Resources available to Veterans on campus and in the local community are also shared. Elective
