Tutoring

Student in the Library

Tutoring is integrated into and required for all of the ASP courses taken in the summer and during the academic year. Tutors attend classes, meet weekly with the faculty, and work with students one-on-one or in small groups throughout the week. Tutoring sessions emphasize course content but also focus on study and time management skills to help students become independent learners.

Summer Tutoring Schedule:

  • Reading & Study Skills tutoring (EDR 120) = one session per week.
  • English tutoring (WRT 120) = one session per week.
  • Math tutoring (MAT Q20 or MAT Q30) = two sessions per week.

The Learning Assistance and Resource Center (LARC) administers tutoring for the ASP. In addition to tutoring for ASP sections of courses, tutoring is available for students for many other General Education courses during the first year and beyond!
