There are a variety of resources on campus that can help with your technical questions and concerns. Use the following descriptions to guide your help request.
Recommended Student Computer Configuration
Students need particular hardware and software to successfully participate in our online programs. The sections below list minimum computer hardware, software, and computer skills. Please note that these are minimum requirements, and that our online courses will work more effectively with higher capabilities.

|Browser||D2L Services recommends Firefox or Chrome for use in the Brightspace by D2L Learning Management System.|
|Software||Microsoft Office 365 is available for free to all WCU students.|
|Microphone/Speakers||Microphone and speakers are required for all Distance Education courses. While internal microphone and speakers may be sufficient, headphones with an attached microphone are also recommended.|
|Webcam||May be required by certain courses. In many cases, an internal webcam will suffice.|
Equipment Rentals During Remote Learning
IS&T has devices (laptops, webcams, hotspots) available to loan, free of charge, during remote instruction. Request a device to be shipped to your remote location, for free, by filling out a request ticket with Resnet's ServiceNow portal.
Technical Assistance with Digital Tools
The Helpdesk is the first point of contact for troubleshooting and assistance with using digital tools. They will connect you with the relevant support.
