Advocacy Committee
This committee is comprised of faculty, staff, students, and administrators. The committee meets on a regular basis during the academic year to discuss campus climate issues. We work closely with campus leaders to create a warmer campus climate for LGBTQA people.

Mission Statement
The LGBTQA Advocacy Committee is a group of faculty, staff, administrators and students who work together as advocates for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, ally people at West Chester University. The committee is charged with the following functions:
- identify LGBTQA equity issues
- work with appropriate campus agencies to create a safe campus for LGBTQA people
- suggest, develop and implement educational programs
- promote an awareness and understanding of LGBTQA issues
- explore the possibilities of curriculum of LGBTQA issues
The committee will make recommendations to appropriate channels within the University when concerns arise regarding these areas. These functions are in keeping with and enhancing the mission of West Chester University.
