Flights

Flight Route

Travel dates will be: 6/11/2023 to 7/1/2023

Travel from the US to London will be an overnight flight, arriving in London Monday morning June 13th.

Flights out of Philadelphia are probably the easiest, but flights from New York airports or BWI and/or non-direct flights can reduce the costs considerably!

Please do not book a flight without checking with Dr. Waite first to make sure it is appropriate.

I would like EVERYONE to have at least one "travel buddy". Some people have not flown before, so I would like the more experienced travelers to help guide the group through the airport, etc.

I  will provide details about arrivals at Heathrow on June 13 when we get to class.

Passports

Since we are traveling outside of the United States, you will need a Passport.

If you already have one, please check and make sure it is up to date and valid. Also, to be on the safe side, the WCU Global Engagement Office suggests you make sure it will be valid for up to 6 months past our return date (7/2/2022, so that would be January 2023). If it needs to be renewed, please follow the link below to get instructions on how to do this.

If you do NOT have one, and are a US citizen, please follow this link to the US State Department web page for Passports

Please do this ASAP, since it can sometimes take a while to process applications, etc.

If you are NOT a US citizen, you probably already have a passport from your home country (which allows you to be in the US attending school!) Please check with your country's state department about making sure it is up to date and and VISA's you might need to travel from the US to the Europe and back.

The WCU Global Engagement Office can help with any passport issues you might have.
