Curriculum Vitae

Aubree Pacifico Windish is an adjunct professor of Music at West Chester University where she instructs courses in both the Music Education and Therapy program and the Vocal and Keyboard department. Professor Windish teaches Music Education and piano courses including Music Education Seminar, Methods and Materials I & II, Choral Methods, Integrating the Arts Within the Elementary Classroom, various levels of Piano Classes, and supervises student teachers in their field placements. Professor Windish is an active guest conductor and clinician for regional children’s choirs and early childhood music education.

 

Professor Windish founded and operates Tot Rock Early Childhood Music Classes, based out of West Chester, PA. Tot Rock was designed with the intent to instill a love of the arts in young children while making music together as a community. In addition to organizing and teaching the classes, Professor Windish trains and mentors WCU Music Education students to assist them in leading lessons of their own and working with families each week. Through Tot Rock, Professor Windish was featured as one of the Innovative Women of West Chester, in the Fig Magazine publication. Additionally, Professor Windish co-founded Windish Music and Productions, an award-winning live entertainment company with partnerships in the attractions and cruise industries. Through this company, she performed, directed, and liaised show productions, created instrumental and vocal music arrangements, and held administrative responsibilities with clients in the entertainment industry. Professor Windish also serves as a collegiate student mentor at Music Service Learning, a non-profit organization that provides diverse and equitable project-based experiences to supplement collegiate music education curricula. 

 

Prior to joining the West Chester University faculty, Professor Windish taught music for 15 years in the Pennsylvania public school system as a choir director, general music instructor, and musical theatre co-director in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, Wallingford, PA. Throughout her career, her choral groups consistently earned top ratings at adjudications and regional festivals. The musical theatre program included over 100 middle school students each year and performed original, full-length show productions. Professor Windish also co-founded and established the general music guitar program at Strath Haven Middle School. In addition to her teaching duties, she was a special areas team leader and new teacher mentor.

 

Professor Windish is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAFME), Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Northeast Entertainment Association (NEEAPA), and Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). She also holds a certificate in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NCMW).
