Through our live webinars (PolyCom) and pre-recorded sessions  (MediaSite) you can access training from a location convenient for you. Our experienced instructors and presenters will walk you through step by step training on a variety of course topics ranging from D2L to Web Content Writing.

  • Assess Student Learning in D2L

    Faculty, did you know that you have access to helpful course statistics within D2L? Learn how to see if students are accessing course content, view class/individual student progress and view detailed statistics for dropbox, quizzes, discussions and grades.

  • Awards, Badges & Certificates

    This introductory webinar will provide an overview of the Awards tool in D2L. Topics include accessing a library of existing awards, creating awards and certificates and utilizing release conditions to issue awards.

  • D2L 101

    This introductory webinar will demonstrate how D2L can be used to create a rich learning environment for students. Topics include communicating with email and announcements, uploading documents, media and links in content, using online quizzes and gradebook. In addition, we’ll take a look at promoting collaboration with discussion boards and the ability to view student progress and course statistics.

  • D2L Fundamentals

    This session will provide an overview of the D2L interface, loading content, and communicating with students. Participants will also receive a demonstration of key features that D2L offers.

  • D2L Gradebook Overview

    This introductory webinar will demonstrate how to setup a Gradebook in D2L. Topics include Setup Wizard, Manage Grades & Entering Grades. Directions for joining the webinar will be emailed after registration is confirmed.

  • D2L My Media (Kaltura)

    This session will explore My Media (Kaltura), our media streaming repository. Participants will receive a demonstration of how to upload, manage and share media content in D2L.

  • D2L Preparing for a New Semester

    This webinar will provide tips and tools to enable you to reuse your existing D2L course for a new semester. Topics include copying course components, bulk edit assignment due dates, updating group enrollment, reviewing grade item associations, checking dates throughout the course and activating your course for student viewing.   • D2L & Respondus Overview

    Join us in this webinar to see how Respondus, a Windows-based software authoring tool, allows faculty to create exams in MS Word format and publish directly into a D2L course. An added benefit is that it allows faculty to retrieve an existing exam from a D2L course and print it.

  • D2L Winter Survival Guide

    Join us in this webinar to learn how you can prepare your D2L courses for the chance of inclement weather.   In this workshop, participants will learn how Blackboard Collaborate Online Rooms, Discussions and Assignment Submission Folders and Emailing can help keep their course and students on track during a closure.

  • SAP Basic Navigation

    SAP basic navigation training is a prerequisite for obtaining an SAP user ID which allows access to the SAP financial system. Only employees who, as part of their official duties and responsibilities, are required to access budget, financial, and procurement information, or to process purchasing requisitions, need to complete this training.

    After viewing the training video, in order to have your access enabled, you must complete and submit the form at the bottom of the page.


    Accessing the pre-recorded session: Please use your WCU username and password to log in to SharePoint. Only those with a valid WCU account will be able to access the training.

  • Web Content Writing

    This class was designed to help you organize your content for your responsive site and to give you some insight on how to write for the web. Topics that will be covered include organizing your content, tuning up your sentences, cutting out the fluff, and writing meaningful headlines.
