The Faculty and Staff Training (FAST) unit supports WCU faculty and staff in becoming proficient in various applications, in addition to providing best practices in trending platforms (i.e. Social Media, D2L, RamCloud). Courses are designed to accommodate all levels of learning and are run in succession, allowing users to build on acquired skills. FAST staff also produces reference documentation to support the training initiative. Browse through the FAST Course Offerings to access information about the classes, as well as the corresponding documentation.

As classroom venues evolve, some still yearn for the benefits of face-to-face learning. That's what our traditional classroom courses are designed for. Come experience a group class where you will have the opportunity to interact with the instructor as well as network with fellow faculty and staff members.
Our most popular courses will now be offered online! If your schedule does not allow you to take advantage of the courses when they are offered, you will be able to access a course via PolyCom while it's happening or watch it at a later date with our Mediasite/MyMediasite pre-recorded sessions. In addition, you can access a library of high-quality training videos and tutorials with LyndaCampus or UPK for a variety of applications.
Do your department members want to learn how to use clickers for their classes? Do your new office staff workers need to learn how to use Excel? With groups of 5 or more, our instructors can come to you! With our On-Site courses you and your team can be trained in your conference room or a free classroom. Specific technology requirements must be met.Submit a Request for On-Site Training
