Where is the PASSHE Human Resources Conference taking place?
The conference will take place at West Chester University in the Science and Engineering Center and The Commons located at 155 University Avenue.
What is the cost of the conference?
The cost of the conference will be $150 per registrant.
What is included in the conference registration fee?
The conference registration fee includes admission to all selected conference sessions, vendor showcase, most meals, and participation in an evening activity. Accommodation is not included.
After I register, will I receive confirmation?
You will receive a registration confirmation via email within 24 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact hrs@wcupa.edu.
What is the deadline to register for the conference?
Conference registrations will be accepted until Monday, June 3, 2024.
Is there single-day registration available for the multi-day event?
No. Conference registration is a multi-day event only.
What happens if I register for the conference and need to cancel?
If you need to cancel, please email hrs@wcupa.edu. Please note that all registrations must be cancelled within 48 hours and failure to do so will forfeit a refund.
If I am unable to attend the event, can someone substitute for me?
Yes, substitutions for attendance are allowed. Please email hrs@wcupa.edu with the information of the new attendee and the name of the attendee they are replacing.
How do I pay for registration?
Registration payments can be made by credit card on the conference webpage. Register at this link.
How do I get an invoice for registration?
You will receive an email confirmation after registering for the conference. Your confirmation is also your invoice and will show the amount paid.
What is the cancellation policy for event registration?
All registrations must be cancelled within 48 hours. Failure to cancel a registration within 48 hours forfeits a refund.
Is the cost of accommodation included in the conference fee?
Accommodation is not included in the conference fee.
Are meals included in the conference registration fee?
Most meals are included in your conference fee. Please see the conference agenda for included meals.
How do I request reasonable accommodation?
You can request a reasonable accommodation on the registration form or email ADA@wcupa.edu.
How do I make a special request for needs or meals?
On the registration form, please indicate any dietary restrictions or other needs. If you forget to request a need on the form, please email hrs@wcupa.edu with the information.
Once I choose my courses, can I switch my sessions?
Conference participants are encouraged to select their courses that align best with their interests and position. Should you choose to change a course at or before the course start time, please visit the registration table.
How are the event sessions formatted?
Courses will be delivered in various formats ranging from 60 to 90 minutes. Facilitators will deliver content relevant to the topic and allow time for discussion and questions. For more information, please review the conference agenda.
Who should attend the conference?
Any Human Resources, Employee and Labor Relations, Payroll, or DEI employees in the PASSHE system are welcome to attend the conference.
How do I find out more information about on-campus housing?
Click here to view sample floor plans of WCU suite-style dorms. Please note, WCU will not know the specific North Campus dorm assigned to our guests until the conference date approaches. We will do our best to notify you as soon as the exact dorm has been determined.
Where do I park on campus?
Free parking can be found at M lot located at 138 E Campus Dr, West Chester, PA 19382. Please keep in mind this parking lot is .5 miles from the Science Engineering Center and Commons building where the conference is taking place. Garage parking is also available for a daily parking rate at $9 per day at any of the following locations:
- New Street Garage – 704 S New Street, West Chester, PA 19383
- Distance: 900 Feet
- Student Recreation Center Parking Garage- 275 N Campus Drive, West Chester, PA 19383
- Distance: 700 Feet
- The Commons Parking Garage- 124 N Campus Drive, West Chester, PA 19383
- Distance: 700 feet
Is there a cost for parking?
Depending on where you choose to park:
- Parking at M Lot will be free. Directions.
- Garage (The Commons Garage) parking will have a daily rate of $9. Directions.
What is the dress code for the event?
The dress code is business casual. We recommend wearing layers as the temperature of the SECC may be chilly. Comfortable footwear is encouraged.
Will there be networking opportunities at the event?
Yes, there will be several networking opportunities and events throughout the conference to allow participants to build stronger relationships. We have added the Building Strong Connections feature on our web page as a tool to engage with others before the conference.
