Jayme L. Trogus, DHSc, MPH

Jayme L. Trogus

Employee Well-Being: The “New” Workplace Imperative

Jayme Trogus has over 18 years of experience working in higher education advocating for student wellness through peer education, policy development, and program implementation. Currently, Jayme is the director of Wellness Promotion at West Chester University (WCU) where she leads a team of professionals creating a campus community that enriches the well-being of its members. Before joining the team at WCU, Jayme held numerous roles including director of wellness for 13 years at Millersville University; adjunct professor in the Biobehavioral Health program at Penn State University, Berks Campus; and health educator at the PA Department of Health. Jayme has a doctorate in health sciences from East Stroudsburg University with research focusing on the impact of health-focused leadership on employee job satisfaction and work engagement. Jayme completed an internship with the Office of Human Resources at WCU during her doctoral program and conducted research on employee wellness programs in higher education and provided employee and manager education sessions on well-being.

Jayme resides in Wyomissing, PA with her husband Mike and children Madisyn (16) and Rhys (12).

This track focuses on showcasing knowledge and best practices related to functional and operational HR, Payroll and Labor topics that provide current and emerging relevant information and/or tackle issues related to improving workflow and systems for beginner and advanced professionals in higher education.
