Nutrition Department Overview
The mission of the Department of Nutrition in the College of Health Sciences at West Chester University is to shape tomorrow’s nutrition and dietetics professionals and leaders through quality, relevant, and innovative teaching, service, and scholarship. The Nutrition Department offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The degree and curriculum options offer a wide variety of rewarding career opportunities including clinical dietetics, community/public health nutrition, sports nutrition, wellness, foodservice management, sustainable food systems, and more.
Undergraduate Degree Concentrations and Minor
All three undergraduate concentrations are designed the same for all first-year students, so ideally students will select a concentration when they are scheduling courses for their third semester. All students should work with their academic advisors to help choose the appropriate concentration.

WCU Dietetic Internship
The WCU Distance Dietetic Internship is a graduate or post-master’s-level, supervised practice program, which prepares students to become a RDN.WCU Dietetic Internship (DI)
The West Chester University Didactic program in Dietetics (DPD) and Dietetic Internship (DI) are currently granted accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
