Preselect process will NOT be in DICAS for 2024.

All application material to be submitted to DI Director directly or by US mail to be received by April 19, 2024 12:00 pm EST.

Required Material for April 19, 2024 deadline:

• Dietetic Internship Preselect Candidate Information Form
• Resume
• WCU Personal Statement
• Undergraduate Unofficial Transcripts or Graduate Unofficial Transcripts (if completed MSCN; Must Send Official Transcripts)
• Two Letters of Recommendation- (One Professor, One Professional)- Recommendation letters can be physical copies signed/sealed and hand delivered to DI Director, Recommender can email directly to DI Director at 
  dkronmuller-harvey@wcupa.edu, or can be sent to DI Director via US mail.

WCU Preselect deadline Friday, April 19, 2024, to DI Director by 12:00 pm EST.

The Week of April 29th, 2024

Virtual Interviews will be conducted with preselect candidates and the selection committee.

By May 10, 2024

• All preselected applicants will be notified of WCU DI program acceptance status.
• Applicants must accept or deny their placement in the WCU DI in writing via email to the program director by May 15, 2024
• If a preselect candidate is accepted to the program and the candidate accepts the spot in the WCU DI program, the student may not apply to other FEM or DI programs.

May 2024- January 15, 2025

• Students not accepted during preselect process can reapply to WCU DI Program through Fall Internal Early Admission Acceptance (more information to come Summer 2024) or WCU Spring Traditional Route Admission Acceptance (more information to come Summer 2024). DICAS will only be used for Spring Traditional Route). D&D Digital Match will be discontinued Spring 2024.
• Students may also apply to other DI programs during this time.

By February 14, 2025

• Accepted preselect interns must submit the following documents by February 14, 2025 to DI Director to retain spot in DI program
• Secure site preceptors for community and clinical I rotations using the DI Preceptor Selection and Commitment Form
• When contacting potential preceptors, send them the applicable rotation checklist at the bottom of this page. This will inform preceptors of required CRDNs and activities.
• Submit DI Distance Rotation Schedule Template
• Submit DPD Statement or DOI statement
• Submit Recency of Education Form* if DPD was earned 5+ years ago

By End of Spring Semester 2025

• Accepted preselect interns must submit the following documents by end of the Spring semester 2025 to DI Director to remain spot in DI program
• Secure site preceptors for food service and clinical II rotations using the DI Preceptor Selection and Commitment Form
• When contacting potential preceptors, send them the applicable rotation checklist at the bottom of this page. This will inform preceptors of required CRDNs and activities.
