DI Preselect Application Information

Are you a WCU MSCN program graduate or a current MSCN student who would like to apply to our dietetic internship (DI) program early and possibly be preselected before the Spring Match? 

If so, see if you meet the criteria below:

  1. WCU Accelerated BS to MS students who are in the first year of the MSCN as a matriculated student (not as a senior undergraduate student) who have completed at least 9 credits by the preselect application deadline.
  2. WCU MSCN students who have completed at least 9 credits by the preselect application deadline.
  3. WCU MSCN program graduates

All students must hold an undergraduate DPD verification statement to apply to the DI.

Important Dates for Preselect Application

Dates Information

Now - December 2020

December 2020 - January 10th, 2021

  • Apply to DICAS when application opens in early December    (Note that there is a $45 fee to DICAS to apply to the 1stprogram)
  • Upload application materials in DICAS for West Chester University Dietetic Internship (resume, transcripts, DPD verification statement, personal statement)
  • Upload to SUPPLEMENTAL column, these completed forms:
  • You do NOT need to use the D&D digital (computer matching) during the preselect process for WCU.  You would need to complete it if you are not accepted to our preselect DI program and would like to apply to other programs in February.

January 13th - January 30th, 2021

Virtual Interviews will be conducted with preselect candidates and the selection committee.

By February 1st, 2021

  • All preselected applicants will be notified of WCU DI program acceptance status.
  • If a preselect candidate is accepted to the program and the candidate accepts the spot in the WCU DI program, the student may not apply to other FEM or DI programs.

February 1st - February 15th, 2021

  • Students not accepted during the preselect process can reapply to WCU DI program through DICAS for Spring Match.  Candidates will need to register through D&D Digital and change their matching status in DICAS 
  • Students may also apply to other DI programs during this time.
