Dr. Bohrman received her PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include the intersections between the criminal justice and mental health systems, motivational interviewing and the use of social media to influence social change. Shas worked throughout the mental health system in a variety of capacities including case management, residential services and mobile crisis services and currently volunteers as a crisis counselor on the Crisis Textline. She has taught in a variety of content areas, including social work practice, social policy, family systems and race relations.
