VoiceThread Student Guide

VoiceThread is a web-based tool for creating collaborative slideshows that combine picture, documents, videos, and the ability to leave comments through audio, text, and video on the actual presentation. On this page, you will learn how to create an account, and create, comment, and share a VoiceThread presentation. If you already know how to use VoiceThread you can use this page a reference source.

  2. Register for a free account with WCUPA email address (this will give you the ability to create up to 5 VoiceThreads)

VoiceThread Tips

  1. No single file can be larger than 25MB with a free account or 3 GB with an upgraded account. If your file is larger than that, try breaking it up into smaller files and uploading them individually or downloading the video file as 720p or lower. The larger the file, the longer it will take to upload.
  2. Try saving final slides as a PDF before uploading to ensure that the slides will not cut off once uploaded.
  3. Be sure to upload visuals then move on to the comment step to add the audio.
