The College of Business and Public Management at West Chester University is a Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) signatory. PRME is an initiative supported by the United Nations (UN) to advance the integration of sustainability into management education. Membership in PRME commits us to seven principles. In enacting these principles, particular attention is given to the 17 UN Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for understanding and directing academic institutions.

PRME Principles

The Seven Principles of PRME, inspired by the United Nations Global Compact, provide a framework for academic institutions to advance corporate social responsibility through the incorporation of universal values into curricula and research. The College of Business and Public Management utilizes these principles to provide future leaders with the skills needed to manage economic and sustainability challenges in the 21st century.

Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a group of actions and concepts that span a wide range of issues: social, environmental, and economic. Designed by the international community working through the United Nations, the SDGs will help to guide priorities to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. The College of Business and Public Management is developing and implementing strategies to incorporate the SDGs into research, teaching, and outreach activities.
