Athletics
Team ManagerThe Department of Athletics prepares our student-athletes for life-long success by providing opportunities for them to excel in the classroom, in competition and in the community.
The team manager serves in various support roles as assigned by the head coach of the team. Duties could include filming of practices and/or competition, assisting with statistics and facility/equipment set-up for practices and/or competitions.

Campus Recreation
Recreation AttendantCampus Recreation engages the West Chester University community through co-curricular experiences by providing diverse programs to inspire lifelong health and wellness.
This position is primarily responsible for front desk customer service, equipment check-out, equipment cleaning, and patron safety. Recreation attendants are the first face of daily operations of the Student Recreation Center.

Intramural Official
Intramural officials are expected to referee and/or score-keep all intramural competitions. Officials should develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the sport’s rules and regulations.

Climbing Wall Monitor
This position provides quality customer service by welcoming students to our climbing wall. Ensures risk management protocol is followed to maintain a fun environment.

Trip Guide
This position provides an opportunity for students to facilitate outdoor experiences for the WCU Community. No prior experience is necessary as the position includes a semester-long training process that includes nationally recognized certifications (Wilderness First Aid, Leave No Trace Trainer).

Off Campus and Commuter Services
Commuter AssistantOff Campus and Commuter Services (OCCS) ensures equitable access to co-curricular experiences, leadership opportunities, and institutional resources designed to assist off campus and commuter students regardless of place of residence.
Commuter Assistants take an active role in creating and promoting a sense of community with commuter and off campus students at West Chester University. Commuter Assistants listen to student concerns, advocate for resolutions, and refer students to appropriate resources on campus and within the community.

Office of Student Conduct
University Hearing Board MemberOffice of Student Conduct's mission is to maintain an educational environment through upholding community standards and foster personal development by assisting individuals in evaluating decisions to promote learning and social responsibility.
The University Hearing Board, comprised of students, faculty, and staff, is an integral part of the campus community and strives to support the mission of the department and the larger WCU community. The University Hearing Board reviews student conduct cases and is the most formal process in the University's conduct system, providing an opportunity for students to serve the University community, develop life-long skills in facilitating and resolving conflicts, and promote civility and citizenship within the WCU community.

Parent and Family Relations
Family AmbassadorThe Office of Parent and Family Relations is committed to building lasting collaborative partnerships with parents and families by providing intentional information and meaningful engagement opportunities to ensure students are supported in their personal and professional development.
Undergraduate Family Ambassadors engage in communication and programming initiatives throughout the year to connect with parents and family members of WCU students. The opportunity is tailored to meet student interests and passion areas to assist in building transferable career readiness skills.

Residence Life and Housing Services
Resident AssistantThe Office of Residence Life and Housing Services provides an environment of learning which fosters ongoing holistic development for all community members by creating and sustaining inclusive communities rooted in ethical decision making and intentional and supportive connections.
The Resident Assistant (RA) is a paraprofessional, undergraduate student staff member of the Residence Life and Housing Services Program. The RA plays a vital role in facilitating an atmosphere of community upon a specific floor, wing, or apartment building.

Front Desk Attendant
The Front Desk Attendant (FDA) is a student staff member employed by the Office of Residence Life and Housing Services. The FDA is responsible for assisting the Resident Director (RD) or the Graduate Hall Director (GHD) and the Graduate Assistant (GA) in the effective administration of the residence hall. This is accomplished through working at the Front Desk of the building and performing related tasks as assigned by the RD/GHD or GA.

Student Leadership & Involvement with LEAD
Leadership ConsultantStudent Leadership and Involvement provides WCU students with transformative learning opportunities that prepare them to be active global citizens through involvement in student organizations, intentional programming, and interpersonal interactions.

Sykes Student Union & Activities
Building ManagerSykes Union and Student Activities creates vibrant campus community through excellent programs and services. The Student Union is the center of community life on the campus of West Chester University. The Student Activities Council at West Chester University is an organization on campus that brings entertainment to the students.
The West Chester University Sykes Union Building Manager is employed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Sykes Union during daytimes, evenings, weekends, and other times when called upon by the Director of Sykes Union or appropriate designee. As a front-end representative of Sykes Student Union, a BM must take the initiative to provide both internal and external customers with the highest levels of customer service and strive to maintain the building appearance and environment at all times.

Oversee the programs and activities of the Student Activities Council. Peer Educator
As a member of the Wellness Promotion team, the Peer Educator position plays a critical role in providing peer-to-peer on a variety of health and well-being initiatives focusing on topics such as alcohol & other drug, mental health, sexual health, health promotion and other related topics. Over the course of the year, Peer Educators will assist with informal educational campaigns, peer workshop facilitation, and large-scale department programs.

Public Health & Well-being Internship
Public Health & Well-being interns in Wellness Promotion work with department staff to help coordinate public health messaging, well-being education, and educational materials on a variety of topical themes. In addition, the intern assists with conducting research around health and well-being topics in order to develop further educational initiatives.

Twardowski Career Development Center is a bridge connecting students and alumni to the professional world, introducing them to who they can become.Career Ambassador
Assist with the central mission of the office which is to educate students and alumni in actively developing and implementing their academic, career, personal, and professional goals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to representing the office at events and programs, presenting to campus organizations, providing guidance to students on resume creation, and greeting and directing office visitors or phone calls.

Center for Trans and Queer Advocacy
Peer EducatorThe mission of the Center for Trans and Queer Advocacy is to create an environment where the intersectional experiences of trans and queer people are supported, celebrated, validated and affirmed.
Peer Educators are trained through the office and offer ways for the Center to enhance campus partnerships, campus climate, and the overall experiences for LGBTQIA+ people. Additionally, some specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: assist with departmental programs and Visibility Identity Weeks, development/facilitation of the RAM I AM program series, participate in advocacy and outreach, website development, social media development, creation of various forms of advertisement, development/facilitation of educational trainings, participation in ongoing staff development and general office responsibilities.

Peer EducatorThe Center for Women and Gender Equity actively promotes and advocates for a campus community that values the safety, equality, and intellectual advancement of women and other historically marginalized groups.
CW&GE's peer educators work to raise awareness of issues that disproportionately impact women and historically marginalized gender identities and create an inclusive environment for all students. Peer educators accomplish these goals through innovative programs, outreach, and collaboration.

Sustainability Peer EducatorSustainability is about ensuring that all people - today and into the future - can live in healthy communities and participate in productive local economies without sacrificing environmental integrity.
WCU Sustainability Peer Educators (SPEs) are undergraduate students who help organize and lead sustainability education and outreach programs on campus, primarily in WCU residence halls and apartment complexes. Their goal is to promote a thorough understanding of sustainability by emphasizing the interconnections between the environmental, social, and economic aspects of our local and global societies.

Office of Venue Management
The Office of Venue Management was created in 2006 to manage scheduling, logistics, and operations of the renovated Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall and the then newly finished Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre. Venue Management staff work closely with on campus performing arts organizations, academic event coordinators, student organizations, and off campus, local and regional users to ensure their events are successfully presented. In doing so OVM strives to connect the University population and the local community with live events and performances while enriching students academic experience through the performing arts.
Usher Technician:
The Office of Venue Management at West Chester University seeks students who are interested in participating in the Arts & Culture season at WCU working with OVM as ushers and stage technicians.
OVM schedules employees on an event-by-event basis, so you set your own hours and work as much (or as little) as you need in any given week.
Duties include:
- Greeting patrons at OVM supported concerts, performances, lectures and other events
- Distributing programs
- Taking/scanning tickets for ticketed events (many WCU music concerts are free to the public)
- Answering patron questions
- Helping OVM pro staff with light cleaning/strike of theater space following each performance
- Backstage duties as needed (no prior experience needed)
Starting pay is $8.25 an hour with an automatic bump to $8.50 after successful completion of your first semester (or portion thereof) with the office.
