Soft Matter
This work in being done in collaboration with Dr. Arjun Yodh group at the University of Pennsylvania.
NOTE: This is a movie (gif animation) of bi dispersed spheres confined to a plane (kinda). The spheres are jiggling with brownian motion. The differences between the bright and dark spheres is the z-position (they are at different focuses) so this is really a quasi-2D sample. You can see in the movie the spheres can go from bright to dark and back to bright as the move in the z-direction (perpendicular to plane).
