Benefits of Pursuing a Graduate Program through WCU Online
Flexible Coursework
At WCU, some of our online courses may require specific meeting times, while others allow you to login anytime throughout the week to complete your assignments. No matter the type of class you choose, all our online courses are designed with flexibility for working professionals in mind.
Affordable Tuition
While tuition and fees vary by program, affordability is part of WCU's mission, and our tuition is among the most affordable in the region. To help put your graduate studies within reach, WCU also offers employee reimbursement options, payment plans, and graduate assistantships.
Career Advising and Increased Opportunities
As a graduate student at WCU, you'll have full access to the Twardowski Career Development Center (CDC). The experts at the CDC will help you explore career options, write your résumé, perfect your interviewing skills, and create a job search strategy. The CDC also hosts employment fairs on campus throughout the year.
Accomplished Faculty
WCU employs outstanding faculty. Each professor brings their own expertise and interests to the virtual classroom, creating lively discussion boards and providing valuable feedback. Our faculty conduct research, author papers and chapters, present locally and abroad, and are in the classroom every day.
At WCU, our small graduate classes mean you'll receive personalized attention and an individualized program experience with faculty who are deeply committed to providing mentorship, and support to each student.
F.H. Green Library
Our F.H. Green Library is available to you both in-person and online and offers specialized librarians for each individual college at the graduate level. These librarians are available to help you with finding resources, brushing up on annotation skills, and even your research. You can book appointments with them online or stop in if you're local to the area.
As a graduate student, you also have access to all research materials, books, journals, and periodicals available at West Chester University as well as a nationwide network of academic libraries. Best of all? Materials can be sent directly to your home with a prepaid envelope for returns.
Access to Campus
As an online graduate student, you'll still have access to WCU's on-campus facilities like our 69,000 sq. ft. recreation center, 126-acre Gordon Natural Area, the Twardowski Center for Career Development, and the F.H. Green Library.
Additionally, there are more than 200 events on campus throughout the year from one-act plays and Banana Day to the Concert on the Quad, 24 Division II athletic teams to cheer on, and a perennial favorite—Ramboree. Most of our events are free or offer reduced entry fees for students, and the majority are family friendly.
