Program Overview

Mindfulness is more than a trendy buzzword, and at West Chester University, we’re at the forefront of mindfulness education. WCU’s graduate certificate in Applied Mindfulness is designed as a training course for professionals seeking to develop and deliver mindfulness-based programs in a variety of settings. The 12-credit program focuses on the science and theory of contemporary mindfulness-based interventions, as well as the skills required for applied mindfulness curriculum development, delivery, and refinement. A teaching practicum provides the opportunity for practice and integration of concepts and skills as a capstone project. This program is an excellent addition to graduate study at the University as well as an academic certificate for professionals who wish to integrate mindfulness practices into their personal and professional lives.
