Angela Howard

Angela Howard

Associate Provost for Global Engagement

Dr. Howard is responsible to help ensure the institution continues to meet its strategic plan goals related to international education and the action items identified as part of the American Council on Education’s Internationalization Laboratory. She has co-led a graduate workshop in Italy and has developed themed cultural immersion spring break programs. Dr. Howard was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and traveled to Japan to study the higher education system, structure, grading system and academic program offerings. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and collecting celebrity autographs.

Fun fact: Dr. Howard's favorite Disney characters are Chip 'n Dale

Emily works closely with international students, faculty, staff, and supports internationalization initiatives at the university. She is a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO). Emily also works with all WCU students participating in an international program and is our Fulbright advisor. Emily is a double alumna of West Chester, having graduated with her Bachelor's in Spanish Language and Literature, and Master’s in Higher Education Policy and Student Affairs. Thanks to her study abroad experience at WCU, she moved to Spain after graduation where she lived and worked for 5 years.

Fun fact: Emily has been to 26 different countries (and counting!)

Trachanda García is a dedicated administrator with an experienced history of working in higher education. She joined the Global Engagement Office at West Chester University in May 2022 as the Associate Director of Education Abroad Programs. She looks forward to helping grow international programs at the University and working with faculty, staff, and students to increase study abroad engagement. She holds a M.L.A. from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned her B.A. in International Studies. She has lived abroad in South Korea, Spain, and Panamá.

Fun Fact: Trachanda's favorite show is Doctor Who

Helene Daniele Clay is the Administrative Assistant for the Global Engagement Office. She is the administrative support for the Associate Provost for Global Engagement. She also serves as primary contact for international travel authorization forms, and budget related items. Daniele has worked at West Chester University for over 15 years and is a proud alumna of West Chester University with both a BA English and a MA in Comparative Literature. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bike and birdwatching.

Fun fact: Daniele volunteers at the Rosenbach Rare Books Museum as a tour guide

Carolyn provides administrative support for the Global Engagement Office. She serves as the point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and guests. Ms. Evans received an Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Healthcare Administration from Neumann University. She enjoys cooking especially baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Hello, Hola, NÃÉ hÃÄo, Namasthe, Vanakkam, Salaam! I am an international graduate student in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program, with my Masters from the HEPSA program here at WCU. In the past 6 years, I have worked in a variety of roles that focus on enriching college experience for all, especially among international students at WCU. Excited and grateful to be serving my fourth year in the Global Engagement Office.
