Vishal Shah, Ph.D.

Interim Associate Vice President for International Programs

Dr. Shah is the Associate Vice President for the Center for International Programs.  Dr. Shah leads the internationalization efforts in various capacities to enrich the academic fabric of WCU. He recently completed a two-year self-study to achieve comprehensive internationalization and successful global initiatives. In addition, Dr. Shah serves as the Associate Dean in the College of the Sciences and Mathematics.

Angela Howard

Interim Director of International Programs

Angela Howard is the Director of the Center for International Programs (Interim). She is the Principle Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO). Angela serves as the faculty and student contact for international student success linked activities and administrative contact for ELS Language Center and institutional compliance with immigration practices.

Nora Maurer

Associate Director of Education Abroad

Nora has worked in the Center for International Programs since 2015 and serves as the primary point of contact for education abroad program development, risk management and mitigation for education abroad, and study abroad program budget development and administration. As a study abroad alumna and world traveler, Nora is passionate about working with WCU faculty and staff members to create educational programs abroad that are accessible and enriching for all WCU students.

Charity Alinda, MPA

Assistant Director of International Programs

Charity works closely with international students, faculty, and staff and also supports internationalization initiatives at the university through development and implementation of special outreach projects. He is also a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO). As a DSO he provides advising for all admitted F-1 visa students, including immigration matters, cultural adjustment, campus integration and post-graduation benefits such as Optional Practical Training (OPT). Additionally, he is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of programs and services to enhance and enrich the educational and cultural experience for all international and exchange students at WCU.

Lisa Drusedum

Education Abroad Coordinator

Lisa works with all WCU students interested in participating in an international program. She advises students through the process of studying, volunteering, interning, or teaching abroad. Additionally, Lisa helps organize study abroad-related events on campus, pre-departure orientation workshops for outbound students, and the WCU Global Ambassador program for returnees. As a graduate alumna of West Chester, Lisa completed her Master’s internship experience in the CIP and has a strong passion for education abroad. She completed her undergraduate degree at Kutztown University where she spent a semester in Rome, Italy and her passion was born. She is looking forward to assisting in WCU students having their own unforgettable experiences and helping returning students and their adjustment back to campus life.

Daniele Clay

Administrative Support and National Student Exchange Coordinator

Daniele Clay provides administrative support for the Center for International Programs and serves as WCU's main point of contact for the National Student Exchange program. She enjoys working with students. She received her BA in Comparative Literature and MA in Literature from West Chester University.
