Interim Director/Assistant Vice President for International Programs
E-mail Peter LoedelDr. Loedel received his BA in International Relations and BA in Germanic Languages and Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After a short stint as an intern in Washington DC, Dr. Loedel returned to Santa Barbara to complete his MA and PhD in Political Science in 1994. He taught one year at the University of Utah and another year at the University of Puget Sound before coming to West Chester University. In his role as Director/AVP of the CIP, he is responsible for working closely with campus leaders, faculty, staff, and students to identify new synergies and strategic initiatives to enhance West Chester University’s international presence.
Senior Associate Director of International Programs
E-mail Angela HowardAs Senior Associate Director of International Programs, Angela mainly works with F-1 students and J-Scholars, SEVIS related issues, and immigration regulations. She enjoys working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Assistant Director of Education Abroad
E-mail Nora MaurerNora works with all WCU students who are interested in participating on any type of international program. She advises students through the life cycle of study, volunteer, intern, and teach abroad programs - from program selection, application and approval processes prior to departure, to the processing of study abroad transcripts when students return from abroad (and everything in between). As a study abroad alumna and world traveler, Nora is passionate about assisting WCU students as they take part in the wonderful opportunities abroad that WCU has to offer.
Assistant Director of International Admissions
E-mail Summer DaveySummer works with undergraduate international students during the application process through their arrival at West Chester University. She highly values the growing role of international education at WCU, and one of her favorite things about her position is being able to facilitate the progression of students from prospective applicants to members of the WCU community. Prior to her arrival at WCU, Summer worked in admissions at a university in England for 9 years and because of this she is the Center for International Programs' resident Anglophile.
Administrative Support and National Student Exchange Coordinator
E-mail Daniele ClayDaniele Clay provides administrative support for the Center for International Programs and serves as WCU's main point of contact for the National Student Exchange program. She enjoys working with the incoming international students and outgoing study abroad students. She received her BA in Comparative Literature and MA in Literature from West Chester University.
International Programs Coordinator
E-mail Charity AlindaCharity works closely with international students, faculty, and staff and also supports internationalization initiatives at the university through development and implementation of special outreach projects. He is also a Designated School Official (DSO). As a DSO he provides advising for all admitted F-1 visa students, including immigration matters, cultural adjustment, campus integration and post-graduation benefits such as Optional Practical Training (OPT). Additionally, he is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of programs and services to enhance and enrich the educational and cultural experience for all international and exchange students at WCU.
