philosophy

I believe in participative learning.  Courses must provide opportunities to interact with materials and have assignments that allow students to critically think and develop skills.  Getting to know students personally and their names facilitates student involvement and commitment to learning. Promoting humor in class lightens the learning environment and allows students to be emotionally connected to the class.
