Technology Center

OVERVIEW

The College of Education and Social Work (CESW) Technology Center supports technology integration throughout the College. Services provided through the Tech Center enable faculty and students to succeed in teaching and learning in technology rich environments.

Equipment Loans

The Tech Center loans equipment for use by faculty and students throughout the CESW and any Teacher Preparation Program. We have many items to loan including laptops and iPads for short-term and long-term loan. Carts of iPads and laptops can be borrowed by faculty in Recitation and Wayne Hall.

Training and Resources

The Tech Center staff provides training on both hardware and software. Some topics of training include: iPad apps and use, Seesaw, Weebly, Inspiration, SmartBoard, iMovie, video transfer and Swivl use. Training may be individually requested. Technology Maintenance

Routine maintenance by the Tech Center in Recitation Hall includes checking of CESW classrooms for projection, RamCast, and SmartBoard functionality. We support technology in Wayne 503 and 511, maintain the Mac lab in Recitation 110, and run updates for technology loaned by the Tech Center.

Troubleshooting

Tech Center staff offers troubleshooting to CESW faculty, staff, and students. We prefer to troubleshoot or set-up well in advance of need. We make every attempt to respond to troubleshooting calls in real-time based on staff availability.
