GERONTOLOGY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Application Information
Requirements
Applications for the Graduate Certificate in Gerontology will be accepted for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Completed applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the semester. To be considered for the program, please submit the following items:
- Completed West Chester University online application.
- Official transcripts showing completion of an undergraduate degree and a 2.8 or higher GPA (This certificate seeks applicants from varied academic and professional backgrounds and does not require a specific undergraduate degree).
- Written statement of your professional goals. This statement should be a sample of your best professional writing and contain the following information: how your academic and/or professional background prepares you to study within the graduate certificate; why you are interested in pursuing the certificate program and how you hope it will help you reach your professional goals.
- Two letters of recommendation from persons who know you in a professional capacity.
- Resume
International applicants are required to submit the following:
- Completed West Chester University online application.
- Official course-by-course credential evaluation of all previous programs and degrees completed at institutions outside of the U.S. Please use a NACES accredited credentialing agency.
- Written statement of your professional goals. This statement should be a sample of your best professional writing and contain the following information: how your academic and/or professional background prepares you to study within the graduate certificate; why you are interested in pursuing the certificate program and how you hope it will help you reach your professional goals.
- Two letters of recommendation from persons who know you in a professional capacity.
- Resume
