Dr. Lisa M. Calvano

Lisa

Biography

Dr. Calvano has served as a faculty member in the Management Department since 2011 and most recently held the position of Assistant Chair. In addition, she has led the effort to create management degree completion programs at the Philadelphia campus and Delaware County Community College, and she serves as the faculty liaison supporting West Chester University's Philadelphia campus. Previously, Dr. Calvano has worked with faculty partners to create a new master’s degree, graduate certificate and undergraduate minor in human resource management, assisted in developing an early version of the business-themed first year experience, and participated in university and college sustainability initiatives. In addition, she has served as the Director of AACSB Assessment and Director of General Education Assessment. 

Dr. Calvano’s teaching and research focus on the social and environmental impact of business on employees, families and communities. Her research has been published in Academy of Management Perspectives, Critical Perspectives in International Business, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Ethics Education and Organization. She is also co-editor of the book The Sandwich Generation: Taking Care of Self and Others at Home and Work
