The program is specifically structured to accommodate professionals who work full-time and want to enhance their professional credentials on a part-time basis. Online courses don't require students to commute to campus or to log in at set times.
Our students come from all walks of life and a variety of backgrounds. Many students are traditional students who have recently started their careers. Many students are advanced professionals furthering their own knowledge and careers. Below is just a sampling of our diverse student body:
Kate Bove is a M.S. in Human Resource Management student in her second semester. She is a senior manager for employment, information & risk services at West Chester University. Kate has more than ten years of experience in HR. She holds a bachelor degree in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University.
Diep Bui is a M.S.in Human Resource Management student in her second semester. She holds a bachelor degree in psychology from Millersville University and is currently working as a verification court clerk at Montgomery County Courthouse.
Dennis Frketich is a M.S. in Human Resource Management student at West Chester University in his first semester. He holds a bachelor degree in business from Point Park University, a master degree in leadership and business ethics from Duquesne University and doctorate degree in Education from IUP in Administration and Leadership. Dennis is an assistant professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.Michelle Reyes is a M.S. in Human Resources Management student at West Chester University in her fourth semester. She holds a bachelor degree in Communication from Villanova University and recently earned a graduate certificate from West Chester University in Public Administration. Michelle is currently a full-time student working as a research graduate assistant for the department of Public Policy and Administration. Michelle also serves as the human resources department representative for the Graduate Student Association and as Vice President for the university's Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter. Most recently, Michelle completed a year of service as a Leadership Fellow of the College of Business and Public Management.
Preeti Singh is a MS in Human Resource Management student at West Chester University in her first semester. Preeti holds a BA in Psychology and an MS in Counseling (Higher Education), both from West Chester University. She is currently working as an Associate Director at the Career Development Center of West Chester University.
