Curriculum Vitae

Jesse Padgett is an adjunct professor of vocal studies and vocal coach for WCU musicals. He received a double-bachelors in Music Education and Vocal Performance with a minor in Theatre from Appalachian State University, and his Master's at UNC-Greensboro. He has performed professionally with the Greensboro Opera Company, Asheville Lyric Opera, Ohio Light Opera, Walnut Street Theatre, Maine State Musical Theatre, and was a national finalist in the Palm Beach Opera Competition. He performed in Atlantic City with legendary singer Keely Smith, and made his Broadway debut in Sondheim's Children and Art at the New Amsterdam Theatre in NY, performing with Whoopie Goldberg, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Patti LuPone, and Audra McDonald, to name a few. He has performed with the Philly Pops Orchestra under Peter Nero, where he sang with Sutton Foster and Donna McKechnie. He has three publications sold world-wide through Hinshaw Music Publishers, and wrote the music for UNC-Asheville's Alma Mater. Jesse is an active member of Actor's Equity Association.
