Our small group sessions pop up throughout the year and offer opportunities for all to get active outside of the recreation center walls! We like to offer programs that are a little different than the typical group exercise classes in hopes to re-energize our normal rec attendees and also excite new participants to join. These sessions are shorter in duration and are frequently based around the change of seasons. Even more exciting, a lot of these sessions are linked to an upcoming event! Join us at Marsh Creek to work on strength and stability as we paddle around the lake with an instructor! This low impact exercise works as a full body strength, endurance, and balance workout that anyone can do! Whether you paddle your heart out or casually glide along working on balance you'll enjoy the sights, sun, and company!
Ready to get in shape before the holidays? Train with with us in our version of a couch-to-5k leading up to our annual Turkey Trot. We'll gradually work up to running a full 5k by the end of our training making it possible for those at any fitness level to participate. Never ran before but want to start? This is the perfect opportunity to learn the techniques to properly train your body to a leaner, fitter, and faster you! Along with the this session, enjoy yoga sessions courtesy of Local Yoga on Wednesdays at rec center starting at noon.
