Application Instructions

Getting Started

  1. You will be prompted to create a username and password. Your username will be the email address that we use to communicate important application information to you. This email address should also be the same one you used if you've registered for an admissions event or requested information from the Admissions Office. Tip: our application works best using Google Chrome or Firefox Internet browsers.
  2. Once your account is created, you will receive an email to verify your account and a link to begin your application.
  3. Select your Student Type and Start Term

First Time Freshman Applicants

Current high school students and high school graduates who have not enrolled in a post-secondary institution should apply as a first time freshman applicant. If you are taking or have taken courses at a college or university while in high school, you are considered a first time freshman applicant.

Transfer Applicants

Any student who has attended a post-secondary institution after high school (regardless of their number of credits earned) or enrolled with WCU on a non-degree basis should apply as a transfer applicant. If you attended WCU as a degree student for at least one semester but did not register for classes for three or more consecutive semesters, apply as a readmit applicant.

  1. After you have completed your application, you will be prompted to select fee waiver or submit your $45 application fee. We do not require you to use a code when applying with a fee waiver.
  2. When selecting the credit card payment option:
    1. Do not close your internet browser before receiving your payment confirmation page.
    2. Once your payment is completed and the confirmation page is displayed, please click the Continue button to be redirected back to your application.
    3. You will need to click the purple SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION button to officially submit your application.
  3. If you wish to make any changes after you submit your application, including changing your major or updating your personal information, please contact the Office of Admissions

    or 610-436-3411.
