New Student Orientation
Congratulations! We are excited you chose West Chester University in Philadelphia to be a part of your journey to success. You join a dynamic and vibrant community of peers, faculty, and staff committed to helping you achieve your goals. What's next?
Fall 2020 Orientation - Beginning August 10th
Fall 2020 Orientation will be held via a dedicated D2L site which students will navigate on their own during the week of August 10, 2020. The self-directed Orientation will be followed by live Q&A sessions during the week of August 17, 2020. Although we'd prefer to welcome you in person, this virtual format is currently the best way for us to provide the information you need for a successful start to your educational journey at WCU in Philadelphia, while protecting the health and safety of our campus community. New Student Orientation will be an opportunity for us to virtually welcome you to campus AND for you to learn critical information about the campus, university resources, and your program. Completion of Orientation is required for all incoming students who have been admitted to a Philadelphia Campus program and matriculated for the fall 2020 semester by paying the deposit fee. *MSW Advanced Standing students admitted for summer 2020 are encouraged, but not required, to complete the Orientation.
Through orientation, you will learn about:
- Program expectations
- Student support services
- WCU resources, such as library access
- Classroom technology
- Making payments and using financial aid
- AND MORE!
In preparation for New Student Orientation, please feel free to view D2L tutorials and help documents at www.wcupa.edu/d2l. New students should have access to the WCU Philadelphia Campus D2L site (this is different than the Orientation site), which can be used to familiarize yourself with D2L functions and navigation.
Stay tuned to your WCU email for further details about New Student Orientation!
