Scholarship Opportunities

Awarding Scholarships

Army ROTC scholarships are among the most valuable awards available to college students. They not only help remove the financial burden of higher education but also open the door to unique opportunities that set Cadets apart. Scholarships can be awarded for two, three, or four years, depending on when a student joins the program, making them accessible to both high school applicants college students.

What makes these scholarships different is that they are more than just financial aid. They are a direct investment in your future. Cadets selected for scholarships are recognized as high-potential leaders and are given access to specialized training, professional development, and experiences that few students outside of ROTC will ever have.

Scholarships are awarded competitively to students who show strong academic ability, athletic performance, and leadership qualities. Both undergraduate and graduate students may apply. High school students can begin their application through GoArmy.com, while college students can compete for available scholarships on campus.

Additionally, the university graciously provides financial support to students enrolled in Army ROTC. The ROTC department provides scholarships from this support in varying amounts. First-year students have an opportunity to earn a $500 scholarship by enrolling in the program and meeting certain requirements. Please contact the ROTC program for more information.

Various other scholarships are often provided through the generous donation of veterans organizations through the WCU Foundation.
