Students will be assigned an academic advisor in their program of study when they are admitted. The advisor's name will appear on the letter of admission. Students should consult their advisor about course selection, program progress, internship possibilities and other issues related to their area of study. Students are permitted to change advisors at any point in their program, with the permission of the Graduate Coordinator.
Regular use of the official Departmental advisement forms is highly recommended for all Psychology majors. These forms, available by clicking on the appropriate link below, list the required courses as well as elective options; they should be updated by students every semester, listing the grades of completed courses and indicating the currently enrolled courses (in pencil with a *).
Updated forms should be brought into any advising session with an academic advisor, especially when course selection, graduation clearance, or related matters are to be discussed.
The appropriate form must be used depending on when a student declared and was accepted into the Psychology major. For questions, please contact an academic advisor.
