Program Overview

Due to delayed NCLEX testing resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, students are not required to be licensed prior to the start of fall classes. We will work with individual students who are affected by this delay.

The RN to BSN curriculum is specially designed for licensed Registered Nurses to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The program was developed with working nurses in mind, and is offered in an online format that allows our students to balance home, work, and school responsibilities. The RN to BSN program at WCU is customized for each student based on their prior college level course work, and is rooted in the AACN’s baccalaureate essentials. Students can earn a baccalaureate degree in as little as three semesters (dependent upon previous courses transferred). All students will complete a set of core RN-BSN major courses as well as any unsatisfied WCU general education requirements.

 

Program Highlights 

• The RN-BSN program is designed to meet the needs of new registered nurses, in addition to those who are returning to school to complete their BSN degree.

• All courses within the RN-BSN program are completed online.

• Some courses are offered during the summer session and is dependent upon student needs.
