First update from WCU search co-chairs

Dear members of the West Chester University community:

We are pleased to inform you that our search for Executive Director for Enterprise Services is under way. This is the first of the regular updates we will provide you on the search over the next few months.

We have retained a search firm, Academic Search, Inc. to assist us with our search. Academic Search is a consulting firm that has worked exclusively for nearly 40 years in searches for senior administrators in higher education. Nancy Suttenfield and Cynthia Patterson will serve as the firm's senior consultants to West Chester University.

Nancy and Cynthia will provide counsel for the Search Committee's work throughout the course of the search. The consultants have assisted as we have been developing the key criteria for the position. We anticipate that the position profile will be finalized this week and that our search will go live on or about September 12 or 13. The job ad will be posted in a number of publications, including The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, Women in Higher Education, and Educause. At that time, the consultants will recruit using the firm's extensive network to solicit nominations and recommendations.

You will receive another update on the search in a few weeks. We ask that you visit this site on a regular basis as we will continue to post updates and will populate additional information such as the search profile, a confidential nominations form for your input on recommended candidates, the search timeline, frequently asked questions and answers and more.
