Dear West Chester University Community,

Our Information Services & Technology (IS&T) team continues to work diligently and we thank you for your patience. As we take the time needed to execute a thorough analysis, our ongoing network assessment continues to indicate that no Personally Identifiable Information (PII) has been compromised. The IS&T team's immediate action helped to contain an external attempt to access the University's systems. We are working around the clock to restore all networks and systems. As mentioned previously, remote classes, D2L, and Zoom have not been interrupted. Instruction continues and students should remain engaged with classes.

All areas of the University, including the divisions of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, are working collaboratively to ensure that this interruption will not adversely affect students. Necessary adjustments to the academic calendar deadlines will be made, including a revised course withdrawal deadline. Registering for summer and fall classes will also commence as soon as myWCU has returned to its online status.

Please continue to visit https://www.wcupa.edu/infoservices/istNotice-032921.aspx for updated information and answers to your questions. The IS&T team will provide another update by the evening of Sunday, April 4.

If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk through ServiceNow at https://www.wcupa.edu/servicenow

Sincerely,

JT Singh
Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer
