Health Science General

Admission into this degree program requires the completion of a college level certificate, license or associate degree in an allied health field. These may include, but are not limited to, nursing, paramedic, X-ray/Sonography technician, dental hygiene, medical assistant, and complementary and alternative modalities such as massage therapy. Students will enter into this degree with a varied number of transfer credits from their allied health programs as determined by the Registrars Office and the Chairperson of the Department of Health.

Recent Health Science graduates have appreciated the acceptance of credits from their previous health-related program; faculty support; the variety and availability of health classes offered; and how well it prepared them for furthering their education.

Health Science graduates can advance in their health specialty field; can obtain jobs in voluntary health agencies, and hospital and agency administration. Graduates can also go on to graduate school programs in fields such as Public Health and Physician Assistant.
