Do I need to wear a mask on campus?

All faculty, staff, students, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when indoors and on WCU shuttles.

You may remove the mask:

  • when you are in private or semi-private office or at a workstation with barriers installed such as plexiglass.
  • while inside your on-campus apartment, residence hall room, or suite.

Do I need to wear a mask at athletics events?

West Chester University Athletics is pleased to continue to welcome spectators to all home intercollegiate athletic contests. As a reminder, all spectators, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask when attending any indoor athletic contests inside Hollinger Field house, the Sturzebecker Health Science Center, or the Graham Natatorium. Masking by all spectators in attendance creates the safest possible atmosphere for the student-athletes, coaches, staff, team representatives, officials, and all other spectators.

At outdoor events, including those events held inside John A. Farrell Stadium, Vonnie Gros Field, and Rockwell Field, masks are not required; however, fans are encouraged to have a mask with them as masking is required when entering any building on campus.

West Chester Athletics thanks you for your continued cooperation.

Will masks be available on campus?

Masks will be provided at building entrances and various locations throughout campus. It is recommended that faculty, staff, and students carry two (2) masks with them at all times.

Will masks be required in WCU Managed and USH Managed residence halls and apartment buildings?

Regardless of vaccination status, all students are required to wear a mask in common areas of the residence halls and apartment buildings where three (3) feet of social distancing is not possible. Masks are not required inside an individual student's bedroom, suite, or apartment.
