College Reading and Study Strategies, Reading Seminar, Teaching Reading with Children's and Young Adult Literature, coordinator of Reading for the Academic Development Program.

Dr. Beeghly's teaching experience has included working with K-13 students and teachers in rural, urban, and suburban settings. She has also been fortunate to work in East Asia and Africa. Before coming to WCU, she spent a year teaching in South Korea. While teaching at WCU, she has worked on a UNESCO literacy project with primary teachers in Kenya and has been a visiting research professor at Hiroshima University in Japan. Her research interests include using children's and young adult literature in content areas, using international literature to support cross-cultural learning and understanding, and the impact of technology on our reading lives. Her publications include Disability in the Family: Narratives of Experience and Stories in Children's Literature. In L.B.
