The WCU Day of Giving, a 24-hour fundraising event, has quickly become a special tradition that invites alumni, faculty, staff, family, and friends to both support the University's critical needs and the areas that matter most to them.

This year's event featured 1,767 donors, marking a 125% increase over 2023, with $104,637 of the funds raised dedicated to the University’s sports programs. The top 10 designations supported by donors highlighted the diverse interests of the WCU community, including Women’s Rugby, Lacrosse, Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band Fund, and several other athletic and academic programs.

In celebration of the Day of Giving, the West Chester University Foundation hosted a watch party where guests witnessed the goal being met and exceeded in real-time.

University President Chris Fiorentino attended the event and was in awe of the generosity he witnessed.

"The success of this year's Day of Giving is proof of the unwavering dedication and generosity of our Golden Ram community,” he said. “It reflects our shared commitment to excellence and highlights the importance of coming together to support our students in meaningful ways. From emergency aid to scholarships and program enhancements, every donation plays a crucial role in shaping the future of West Chester University and its students."

The Day of Giving honors the founding of West Chester University and the institution's longstanding tradition of community support and academic excellence.
