Wells School of Music Presents WCU Symphony Orchestra on Sept. 29
The WCU Symphony Orchestra welcomes you Back to School under the direction of Maestro Paul Bryan on Friday, September 29, at 7:30 p.m., in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. The concert is FREE and open to the public and can also be livestreamed here. Johannes Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture opens the program followed by the Séjourné, Concerto for Marimba and Strings featuring Jacob Scheidt on marimba. Samuel Barber’s Overture to The School for Scandal, Op. 5 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Op. 93 round out this opening concert. Graduate conductors, Sean Pastorok and Adeline Cho will be featured.
