WCU Student Artwork On Display This Spring at the Delaware ContemporaryStudent pods

You can find the work of students and alumni in WCU’s Department of Art + Design on display this Spring at The Delaware Contemporary, a museum located in Wilmington, Delaware. WCU work on display includes:

  • How Can a Space Be Nourishing? (January 13 – May 28): Professor Erica Loustou of WCU’s Art + Design Department worked with WCU students and alumni in collaboration with Delaware Urban Greens to create the lobby installation How Can A Space Be Nourishing? Three geodesic, dome-like structures were created, in addition to a fully functioning indoor greenhouse, which Delaware Urban Greens is using to grow food for local food pantries. 

 

  • WCU Art + Design alumna Lauren Galban was invited by curator Chase Dougherty to exhibit her work along with two other artists in the group exhibition More Than a Woman? (May 3 and May 5.) Galban was invited to exhibit by curator Chase Dougherty, who was introduced to Galban’s work and awarded it top prize in the 2022 BFA Exhibit at West Chester University.

 

  • Philadelphia-based artist and WCU Art + Design alumnus Drew Leshko’s sculpture work is featured in the show Artifact (February 3 and February 22)
