Online MBA Program Ranked in the Top 50 Nationwide, Top 30 for Veterans

Us News West Chester University 2020WCU’s online MBA program has risen into the top 50 programs nationwide, coming in at #47, up from #58 last year, in the just-released 2020 Best Online MBA rankings from U.S. News.

U.S. News uses five main criteria to rank all universities’ online MBAs and places the most emphasis – 30% of the school’s score – on engagement, which examines graduation rate, best practices, class size, one-year retention rates, and time-to-degree. Expert opinion from high-ranking school officials in online MBA programs is weighted at 25%. The remaining three factors, student excellence, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technologies, are each weighted at 15% of the school’s score.

Between the start of data collection in August 2019 and the October 2019 closing date, 335 schools (up from 301 last year) said they would be offering online MBAs.

In addition, U.S. News ranked the WCU online MBA at #29 for veterans, up from #33 last year. The 2020 Best Online Programs for Veterans rankings measure reputation, affordability, and accessibility as well as faculty credentials, retention rates, and graduate debt loads.
