WCU Live! Presents the
CASHORE MARIONETTES in Simple Gifts

West Chester, PA – WCU Live! presents the internationally acclaimed Cashore Marionettes on Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m., in the Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center, 817 S. High Street, West Chester. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for senior/students at www.wcupatix.com or 610.436.2266.

Joseph Cashore and his marionettes have traveled the world for more than 20 years. His marionettes have been called “engineering marvels that redefine the art of puppetry,” and his artistry described as “a man who works miracles with only the slightest pluck and pull on the strings.”

In Simple Gifts, a series of portrayals and poignant scenes, set to melodic and beautiful classical music, explores the richness of everyday life. Exploring the universal themes of love, joy, sadness and humor, Simple Gifts is as awe-inspiring as it is funny and touching.

John Rhein, Director of Cultural and Community Affairs at West Chester University, says, “We are so pleased to bring artists of international caliber to West Chester’s campus through the WCU Live! Performing Arts series. We invite member of the surrounding community – ages 1 to 101 – to come and enjoy this thoroughly compelling and celebratory production.”
