Our alumni choose many different paths upon completing their degrees. Here are some bios of some of our alumni. Many alumni remain active in the COM program by engaging in mentoring relationships with current student, returning for social events, and providing networking opportunities for students.

Joanna Armandi

Joanna works as a communications consultant for Lincoln Financial Group in Radnor. Her main responsibilities include managing the digital employee newsletter for over 8,000 employees nationwide. She also works with Corporate Social Responsibility, internally promoting charity initiatives. Essentially, she assists in all employee marketing campaigns to communicate everything from new insurance products to benefits and wellness programs in an effort to enhance the Lincoln brand throughout the entire company.

Mary Curley

Mary is the Director of the The Chester County Intermediate Unit which provides services to the 12 school districts in Chester County. This includes services to nearly 85,000 public and non-public school students and over 6,000 educators. CCIU's major services include: special education and compensatory education programs; career, technical and customized education; mentor training and staff development; technology initiatives; consortia for school business operations; and curriculum services.

Julie Goldstein

Julie currently works as a Communication and Training Coordinator for a software company. She is responsible for everything related to company communication from client relations to training, cultivating new clients to attending and presenting at all related conferences.

Lauren Jumper

Lauren works as the Proposal Manager for a full-service architecture, engineering, and construction management firm. She works in the Marketing Department and is responsible for creating and producing technical qualification responses for architecture, engineering, or construction management projects the company is interested in completing. These qualification responses can be in the form of a proposal, a presentation, or another marketing piece like a brochure. Lauren works with various groups within the organization - the technical staff (the engineers and architects), the legal/contracts department, and Graphic Design managers - to create a product that best suits the needs of the client. She also manages the product from start to finish and typically work under deadlines.

Christina Medved

Christina is the Education Programs Manager and the Leaf Pack Network® Administrator for the internationally-known Stroud Water Research Center. She has several certifications in environmental education and has received grant funding for several projects such as one that took students through an experiental learning project about how the NYC water supply is provided by the Catskills. In addition to her education projects, she has published several articles.

Shelia Sheridan

Sheila works for a budding entrepreneur and movie producer in Miami, FL doing event planning, marketing, and public relations. In addition to her full-time job, she also runs a growing photography business out of Miami, where she is able to pull from her organizational, interpersonal, and leadership communication classes to understand the inner workings of how to grow a business and thrive in a changing environment.

Claude Taylor

Claude is the Athletics Professor-in-Residence at Monmouth University. He provides student-athletes academic as well as major and career advisement. Claude also monitors academic progress toward graduation for student-athletes identified as being at high risk for academic success, assists student-athletes with the development of their communication and presentation skills. He also serves as a resource to athletic coaches and staff, university faculty and administrators with regard to student-athlete academic success.
